Man, I feel like a winner!

At least that’s what Casper Ruud surely thought when he pulled off a second straight victory at the EFG Swiss Open in Gstaad and won over an unlikely fan in the process: country star Shania Twain.

The Ontario-born musician has long made a home in the Swiss Alps, and was on hand for Ruud’s epic final victory over Matteo Berrettini, sharing a selfie with the champion and the alpine-themed trophy.

For Ruud, it was his third title of the season in the midst of a breakthrough year that has seen him reach maiden Masters 1000 and Grand Slam finals at the Miami Open and Roland Garros. Despite a grass court season that didn’t impress him much, the 23-year-old rebounded in Gstaad and rallied from a set down to defeat Berrettini, 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2—proving he’s still the one on clay.

Ruud opted to withdraw from Kitzbühel, where he was also defending champion, in an effort to recharge his body for the hard-court swing. Might Shania stop in to watch her fave when the tour stops up north in Canada next month?
