Front and center on the Village Stage, Christopher Bevans sat alongside ATP world no. 23 John Isner to talk about his latest collection with Fila. The fashion designer is far from his Portland, Oregon park courts, but he's bringing that same energy to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and into the all-new "Bevans Park Collection."
Although this isn't his first time working with the brand that holds a nostalgic place in his heart, it's the first time seeing his designs worn by a few of the world's top players at one of the biggest venues in the sport. He's gone from a kid enamored by the clean, tailored, European-vibe attire to seeing his bold and colorful collection pinned against the dreamy Indian Wells backdrop. Following his conversation with Isner, he made his way over to Fila's tent and shared how monumental this moment is.
"Fila really inspired my love of the sport, the game of tennis," Bevans told Baseline. "I prayed for the opportunity where I could get a chance to collaborate with Fila. For me, Fila was the the fashion brand growing up. The kits were always so clean."
