It was some enchanted evening for Jaqueline Cristian, who thrilled the home crowd with a Transylvania Open victory punctuated by a reprise of her famed Dracula cosplay.

From its name to its proximity to Halloween, the WTA 250 tournament in Cluj Napoca has leaned hard into the spooky vibes since debuting in 2021. But few have embraced the camp quite like Cristian, who has made an annual tradition of appearing on court in a vampire cape.

The WTA Instagram rolled out a spectacular tribute to “Countess Dracqueline” following her 6-4, 6-4 win over Celine Naef, putting herself a win away from a second quarterfinal appearance in Cluj.

It would undoubtedly be a welcome result for Cristian, who called herself the tournament’s “Draculina” when promoting it on Instagram earlier this month.
