Before Reggie Bush became a tennis dad, another famous athlete became immersed in our sport thanks to his daughter's love of the game: Mike Tyson.

Mike's daughter Milan started playing at age 3, and by 7 was competing in tournaments. By 9, she was taking four lessons per week.

"She's very competitive—she wants to win just like everyone else," Mike told Tennis Channel in 2018 for a TenniStory feature. (Watch in full below.)

"She tells me she wants to be a professional tennis player. That's going to be difficult, but we're looking forward to the challenge."

Challenge accepted. As her 58-year-old dad prepares to enter the ring Friday night against 27-year-old YouTube sensation (and fighter) Jake Paul, the now-teenaged Milan continues to make great strides on the tennis court. It will be fascinating to follow her progress. For her age, Milan possesses a knockout serve, and she grunts a bit like her idol, Williams, on her groundstrokes.

Six years ago, Milan's mother, Lakiha "Kiki" Spicer, said her daughter wanted to learn French for when she plays Roland Garros. Mike is ready for that moment, too. In May, the former heavyweight champion sat down with Nick Kyrgios on his Good Trouble podcast. Nick asked Mike about what it will be like, for him, when he watches Milan play Wimbledon.

"I'm not going to be quiet. They gonna be kicking me out," said Tyson, referencing the genteel Centre Court. "I'm proud and I am ferocious out there when my daughter's playing.

"I want to fight when she fights."
