Where to go after AO? The Tennis Traveler makes its way to France, Austria, Singapore and more

Just as life goes on, so too does tennis after the Australian Open. The ATP and WTA tours continue onward as there is a whole season left to play out, and many countries left to cross off the 29-country list for the year.

Monday, January 27, kicks off ATP Montpellier, WTA Linz and WTA Singapore, live on Tennis Channel and the Tennis Channel app. Three notable tournaments across three dazzling countries (not to mention Davis Cup qualifiers) will add 11 additional countries to the mix starting January 31.

Whether you’re continuing your ten-cation (tennis vacation, of course) or packing the first suitcase of the year, here’s why these locations should be on your travel itinerary.

Montpellier & Le Jam

Two-time title holder and defending champion Alexander Bublik is heading back to Montpellier, France, along with Stan Wawrinka, Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

These 250-event headliners will be working up some killer tennis just a fifteen minute drive away from Le Jam, a jazz club and music venue that offers free concerts every Thursday from now until June. They also have specialty rates for Fridays and Saturdays, which sounds like the perfect night cap to a long day of tennis watching.

Who knows? Players need to blow off some steam at the end of their workday, too…

Linz & The Future of Ladies Tennis

Linz, Austria, is more than just a tournament site.

The WTA 500 tournament is back with Belinda Bencic, Elina Svitolina and Maria Sakkari topping the draw, but at the forefront is the future of women sports and women in sport.

Taking place on Jan. 29, two days into the tournament, is the FE&MALE Sports Conference “Advantage Ladies.” Its goal is to highlight the business, science and media of women’s tennis, and the opportunities in the years to come.

Stick around through the end of the tournament to participate, if eligible, and contribute to “1,000 tennis rackets for 1,000 girls”—an initiative to promote athletics for young girls and the next generation of the sport.

This is a memorable experience for girls between 6 and 10 years old, as they’ll meet with coaches and representatives alike—not to mention an opportunity for tennis traveling families to take their game global.

Singapore & The New Year

The Capital City of Singapore comes alive the last week of January as the ancient traditions of the Lunar New Year are celebrated at the highest level.

Spend the week watching Emma Raducanu, Sofia Kenin and Anna Kalinskaya in action, and kick off the weekend walking the illuminated streets and enjoying parades, concerts, and cultural performances.

Spanning two days beginning Wednesday, January 29, Singapore’s residents and tourists alike will join the country’s Chinese community in welcoming the Year of the Snake, the sixth animal in the 12-zodiac calendar.

Four ongoing exhibitions in Singapore through the end of the WTA 250 event include:

• Bubble Planet, an immersive VR experience for all five senses
• The World of Studio Ghibli, theatrically interactive art installed at the ArtScience Museum
• Behind the Canvas Series 1: Jean-Michel Basquiat, the first ever Basquiat experience in Asia

Davis Cup Qualifiers & More

Friday, January 31, through Sunday, February 2, Tennis Channel will follow fourteen teams will compete in the Davis Cup Qualifiers. We've already spoken about two of those countries, France and Austria, here’s a quick rundown of experiences for the other 11:
