She's got that 'Queenwen' energy! Zheng Qinwen stars this week on the cover of W magazine in China for the aptly-titled "Energy Issue" that she not only modeled for, but also guest edited.

Fresh off back-to-back quarterfinal appearances in Indian Wells and Miami, personal bests for Zheng at both tournaments, the Olympic champion shows off in front of the camera in not one, but two, spreads photographed by Sean+Seng.

In one, she poses in front of a red backdrop in black clothing, accessorizing with a bold leather jacket, chunky sunglasses, and a black messenger bag, all by Dior. In the other, on a blank canvas, she opts for a more regal look, wearing a red crown, bold red lipstick, and an elegant off-white gown.

The Olympic champion, who has starred on the cover of China's most glossy tabloids including Vogue, GQ and Harper's Bazaar in her tennis career, noted that she enjoyed the "incredible experience" of curating the issue's narrative as the issue's guest editor. The magazine noted that she "actively participated in curating the feature content, exclusively sharing with 'W' her personal recipes, music preferences, lifestyle choices, and journey of growth."

"Thank you Mix Wei for this opportunity," Zheng wrote, thanking the editor-in-chief, "and challenge accepted."

Throughout, Zheng shares inspirational quotes as the magainze swoons that "on the court, she gives her all; off the court, she continues to explore her limitless possibilities."

"You have to accept reality and keep pushing forward until you achieve your next victory," she writes in one, and in another notes: "There's always room for improvement."

"No matter what stage you're at, even if you've already won a championship, you have to keep refining your skills," she adds. "The moment you stop progessing, your opponents will see right through you."

W magazine, launched in the U.S. in 1972, "features stories about style through the lens of art, celebrity, culture, fashion and film." Its Chinese regional version launched in 2023.
