Tennis will return to the site of Roland Garros for the Paris 2024 Olympics. Who is set to chase gold?

As of the official entry list released on July 4 by the International Tennis Federeration (ITF), 184 players from 41 nations make up the initial field. (Editor's Note: this later dropped to 40 with Kwon Soonwoo's withdrawal due to ankle injury)

Singles draws feature 64 competitors, while 32 teams battle it out in men’s and women’s doubles. The 16 mixed doubles entries will be finalized on July 24.

Three of the five defending Olympic champions are back: Alexander Zverev (men’s singles), Barbora Krejcikova-Katerina Siniakova (women’s doubles) and Nikola Mektic-Mate Pavic (men’s doubles).

Former gold medalists Rafael Nadal (2008 men’s singles, 2016 men’s doubles), Andy Murray (2012 and 2016 men’s singles) and Stan Wawrinka (2008 men’s doubles) are also seeking more hardware. Elena Vesnina (2016 women’s doubles) was also listed as a neutral athlete.
