Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz headline Nastase, Newcombe groups at 2024 ATP Finals

Sinner, who has already clinched ATP Year-End No. 1, will have to battle through round-robin play for the chance to renew his rivalry with Alcaraz in Turin.

The final draw of the ATP season has been revealed, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner and No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz, who split the four major titles in 2024, headlining their respective round robin groups at the Nitto ATP Finals.

Sinner, who secured his spot at No. 1 thanks to victories at the Australian Open and US Open, leads the Ilie Nastase Group while Alcaraz, who claimed the Channel Slam with back-to-back victories at Roland Garros and Wimbledon, was drawn into the John Newcombe Group.

Joining Sinner in the Ilie Nastase Group: No. 4 seed Daniil Medvedev (tied 7-7), No. 5 seed Taylor Fritz (Sinner leads 2-1), and No. 7 seed Alex de Mianur (Sinner leads 7-0).

Joining Alcaraz in the John Newcombe Group: No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev (tied 5-5), No. 6 seed Casper Ruud (Alcaraz leads 4-0), and No. 8 seed Andrey Rublev (tied 1-1).

Sinner, who finished runner-up to Novak Djokovic at the 2023 ATP Finals, assured himself the year-end No. 1 ranking in October after winning the Rolex Shanghai Masters, his third Masters 1000 title of the season.

Alcaraz was the player of the summer but has struggled to match Sinner's maddening consistency, improving to 3-0 against the Italian in 2024 with a victory at the China Open finals last month but suffering early losses in Shanghai and the Rolex Paris Masters, ceding the No. 2 ranking to Alexander Zverev.

Though Zverev has failed to win a Grand Slam title, he is a two-time ATP Finals champion, lifting the trophy in 2018 and 2021. Zverev is coming off winning a second Masters 1000 title in 2024 indoors in Paris.

The 2024 ATP Finals will be held at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy for the fourth consecutive year, having moved from London following the 2020 edition of the tournament. Novak Djokovic, who has won the last two ATP Finals (and seven in total), opted to withdraw from the event dispite finishing in the Top 8 of the PIF Race to Turin standings, citing injury.

Round robin play begins Sunday, November 10, and the final will take place on November 17.
